Performing wipes (full/partial, blueprints vs map) Print

  • 0

Wipes reset progress—common for Rust/ARK seasons. Execute via TCAdmin File Manager or scheduled tasks at fpsdedicated.com.

Full Wipe

  • Delete entire save folder (e.g., /server/[world]/* for Rust).
  • Restart: Generates fresh map/world.
  • Players lose all progress (bases, items, BPs).

Partial Wipe (Map Only)

  • Rust: Delete .map/.sav, keep playerdata/blueprints (keep .db files).
  • ARK: Delete .ark map, preserve PlayerLocalData.arkprofile.
  • Restart: New terrain, retained player levels/engrams.

Blueprint Wipes

  • Rust: Delete .db blueprint files; keeps map/player positions.
  • Rare; usually monthly vs map wipes (weekly).

Scheduling

  • Scheduled Tasks > Console Command: "wipe" or delete via script.
  • Chain: Backup → wipe → restart → announce.

Announce via RCON/Discord 24hr ahead. Test on staging first.
