How automatic backups work

Automatic backups in TCAdmin protect your worlds/configs without manual effort. Configured in Scheduled Tasks at fpsdedicated.com.

Default Behavior

  • Runs daily/hourly based on plan (check Settings > Scheduled Tasks).
  • Compresses saves to /TCAdmin/Backups/[serviceid]/[date].zip.
  • Retention: 7–30 days (auto-deletes oldest); configurable.

What's Backed Up

  • World/save files (e.g., /save for Rust, /ShooterGame/Saved for ARK).
  • Config files (server.cfg, bans.txt, etc.).
  • Excludes: Logs, cache, temp files.

Customization

  • Scheduled Tasks > New > Server Backup: Set frequency/retention.
  • Pre-wipe backups: Chain backup → wipe → restart tasks.

Check Backups tab for archive list; download/restore anytime. Failures email admins.
